About this role

Archer is seeking an Autonomy Engineer to design and integrate the communication infrastructure for an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. You will own wireless command-and-telemetry links, mesh networking systems, and IP architectures that enable multi-platform coordination and ground station connectivity.

What you'll do

  • Own communication layer including command-and-telemetry links and multi-platform mesh networking
  • Develop and integrate resilient, long-range wireless communication systems
  • Integrate mesh radio systems into the onboard software stack
  • Design and validate IP networking architectures for multi-platform communication
  • Integrate MAVLink/telemetry links between aircraft platforms and ground systems
  • Collaborate with hardware, integration, and test teams to validate communication performance in field conditions
