About this role
Join Astranis's software defined radio hardware team as an Associate Engineer for a 12-week summer internship focused on designing, simulating, and testing advanced satellite communication hardware. You'll work on projects of equal importance to full-time roles, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge lab equipment and contributing to systems destined for orbit.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate, implement, and test software defined radio hardware systems
- Perform hardware bring-up and debugging in the lab using professional test equipment
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing of satellite hardware
- Integrate radio systems into spacecraft platforms collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Conduct PCBA design and validation from concept through testing
- Support system-level satellite integration and qualification efforts

- Analog circuit design (op amps, transistors, filters)
- Digital design and FPGAs
- Mixed-signal design (ADCs, DACs, power integrity)
- RF design and impedance matching
- PCB design tools (Altium Designer preferred)
