About this role
Attentive seeks a Software Engineer II to build and optimize distributed data systems powering audience segmentation at scale. You'll own end-to-end features for a platform processing billions of daily events, enabling personalized marketing experiences across SMS, email, push, and RCS channels.
What you'll do
- Design and build distributed data applications handling 100+ million customers and billions of daily events
- Own well-scoped features end-to-end from design through deployment and operational support
- Develop deep understanding of data flow and system architecture to inform design decisions
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-impact software
- Contribute to infrastructure and process improvements across the team and engineering organization
- Use AI tools effectively while maintaining focus on system behavior and architectural tradeoffs
