About this role
Avoca seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with customers and design, build, and deploy AI-powered conversational solutions. You'll work at the intersection of customer needs and product strategy, operating with high autonomy to deliver immediate impact in a fast-growing Series B startup.
What you'll do
- Embed with customers to understand their operations and deploy tailored conversational AI solutions
- Build and maintain infrastructure for conversational AI, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops
- Translate business requirements into technical architectures and production deployments
- Identify patterns across deployments and provide insights to shape core product roadmap
- Work seamlessly with technical and non-technical stakeholders in dynamic environments
- Operate with high autonomy in ambiguous, high-stakes situations

- Backend or systems engineering experience
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- TypeScript/JavaScript
