About this role
Join Axon's VR Cloud Services Engineering team as a Backend Software Engineer I to design and maintain cloud services powering virtual reality training for first responders. You'll work on scalable backend systems supporting immersive simulation, collaborating with experienced engineers in a hybrid role across Seattle, Scottsdale, or Boston.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based services using modern technologies
- Extend existing APIs and build features under senior engineer guidance
- Participate in code reviews and maintain Axon coding standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product, Design, and Engineering
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle from implementation through production support
- Continuously learn and improve systems critical to first responder training
