Software Engineer (Voice)

About this role

Bandwidth is hiring a Software Engineer to build and operate voice connectivity systems that process billions of calls monthly. You'll design scalable microservices, collaborate across teams, and leverage AI throughout the development lifecycle while ensuring reliability and security in a carrier-grade infrastructure environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop web services and service-oriented architectures handling high-volume voice traffic
• Own applications end-to-end from design through production operations and monitoring
• Build automation solutions for voice provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management
• Collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to ship iterative solutions
• Review and validate AI-generated code against security, style, and compliance standards
• Drive innovation in voice communications systems and AI integration

What they're looking for

• Web service and microservices architecture design
• Java, C#, or Go programming
• AI implementation and hands-on experience
• IP networking, HTTP, and REST protocols
• Test automation frameworks and patterns
• Relational and non-relational database systems
• AWS or cloud platform experience (bonus)
• Docker and Kubernetes containerization (bonus)
