About this role
Baseten seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers deploying post-training solutions on their AI inference platform. You'll architect and implement fine-tuning pipelines end-to-end, blending software development, solution engineering, and technical customer success to help companies bring cutting-edge models to production.
What you'll do
- Architect and deploy post-training solutions for customers from initial exploration through production on Baseten's platform
- Design and implement fine-tuning pipelines, evaluations, and experiment frameworks using Python
- Partner with customer engineering teams across sales, implementation, and expansion phases
- Translate business objectives into technical specifications and well-defined proofs-of-concept
- Optimize post-training approaches including quantization and deployment strategies
- Own customer projects end-to-end as engineer, project manager, and product manager
