Software Engineer - Continuous Delivery
About this role
Baseten is hiring a Software Engineer for their Platform team to design and build continuous deployment infrastructure that enables safe, rapid rollouts across Kubernetes clusters. You'll own release pipelines, progressive delivery systems, and deployment safety mechanisms while improving engineering velocity across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design continuous deployment infrastructure for multi-cluster, multi-region rollouts with safety mechanisms
- Develop progressive delivery systems including canary releases, staged rollouts, and automated rollback
- Reduce release pipeline friction and automate operational workflows to improve engineering velocity
- Implement GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and progressive delivery patterns
- Build automated deployment health evaluation systems using metrics, logs, traces, and alerts
- Explore agent-assisted and autonomous deployment workflows using AI tooling
