About this role
Belvedere Trading seeks Software Engineer Interns for summer 2027 to develop low-latency, high-performance proprietary trading systems alongside experienced engineers. You'll participate in the full software development lifecycle while gaining hands-on experience in financial markets technology, with comprehensive onboarding provided through their internal university program.
What you'll do
- Develop and optimize low-latency trading software systems
- Participate in design, testing, and deployment phases of the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with full-time engineers and fellow interns on proprietary technology solutions
- Contribute to re-engineering and maintaining high-performance trading models
- Work on systems supporting market-making across commodities, ETFs, interest rates, and equity index options
- Engage in code review and quality assurance processes

- C++ or similar systems programming language
- Software design and architecture principles
- Performance optimization and profiling
- Testing and debugging methodologies
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Collaborative development and version control
- Understanding of trading or financial markets (preferred but not required)
- Low-latency systems experience (preferred)
