About this role
Benchling is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for Release Engineering to build developer-focused tools and infrastructure that enable efficient shipping of changes to production. You'll enhance developer experience, collaborate across teams, and help scale engineering processes for a biotech AI platform trusted by thousands of scientists globally.

- Design and build tooling for streamlined development, testing, and production packaging workflows
- Gather and act on qualitative and quantitative developer feedback to improve workflows
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to solve workflow challenges
- Contribute to scaling product and team through improved tooling and engineering practices
- Help establish and mature engineering best practices and hiring processes
