Backend Software Engineer - Finance Super App (US)

About this role

BJAK seeks a backend engineer to build scalable APIs and financial infrastructure powering their multi-product finance super app across insurance, payments, wallets, and investments. You'll design reliable systems handling user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with product and mobile teams.

What you'll do

• Develop backend services and APIs for finance products including insurance, payments, wallets, savings, and investing
• Design systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation and notifications
• Integrate with external partners including banks, payment gateways, insurers and data providers
• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing features rapidly
• Enhance system reliability, observability, security and performance in production
• Build auditable, secure systems compliant with financial regulations
