About this role
Box seeks an Enterprise Security Engineer II to design, deploy, and maintain security systems protecting the company's corporate infrastructure and data globally. You'll work across identity management, endpoint security, cloud environments, and security operations, partnering with IT and engineering teams to scale Box's enterprise security strategy.
What you'll do
- Deploy and maintain security systems supporting Box's enterprise security strategy
- Secure corporate infrastructure, endpoints, identity, and cloud environments through scalable engineering solutions
- Partner with IT and Engineering teams to identify security gaps and implement controls
- Build security monitoring, detection, and dashboards to improve enterprise risk visibility
- Automate security operations and policy enforcement using APIs, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code
- Support incident response, vulnerability management, and security investigations

- Identity and Access Management (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace)
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), firewalls, and endpoint management
- SIEM and security analytics platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronicle)
- Cloud security across AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Go) with enterprise APIs
- Zero Trust architecture and network security principles
- Security monitoring and incident response capabilities
- Familiarity with AI tools and services
