Software Engineer III, Developer Platform
About this role
Box is building a new US-based Developer Platform team and seeks a Software Engineer III to design and develop scalable platform capabilities, APIs, and developer tools that reduce friction for internal and external developers. You'll collaborate across product, design, and engineering to shape the strategic roadmap and drive high-impact initiatives from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform capabilities including APIs, SDKs, and developer tools
- Build and improve developer experiences through sandboxes, onboarding, testing environments, and self-service tools
- Lead complex cross-team initiatives with internal and external dependencies, ensuring alignment and execution
- Partner with Product, Design, UX, and Developer Relations to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Leverage large-scale datasets and analytics to drive platform improvements and billing insights
- Participate in on-call rotation and ensure operational excellence, performance, and reliability
