About this role

Blueprint seeks a Software Engineer to build automation tools and apply machine learning to industrial telemetry data processing. You'll develop C#/.NET applications that transform device templates and standardize data for cloud pipelines, while refining classification models to reduce manual onboarding effort.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain C#/.NET automation tools, console applications, and Worker Services for data processing
  • Build tooling to convert Excel device templates into structured CSV and pipeline-ready configurations
  • Develop and improve ML models for telemetry tag classification and template-field mapping
  • Perform feature engineering and data preparation on historical industrial telemetry datasets
  • Prototype ML solutions in Python, then transition production logic to C#/.NET stack
  • Validate data quality and mapping accuracy using Azure IoT, Event Hub, and Kusto/KQL

What they're looking for

  • C# and .NET development (5+ years)
  • Applied machine learning and classification models (3+ years)
  • SQL and database design/modification
  • Azure services (IoT, Event Hub, Kusto/KQL)
  • Python for prototyping and data processing
  • ML tools such as ML.NET, scikit-learn, or embeddings
  • Full software development lifecycle
  • Technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

Benefits

  • Remote work location
  • Exposure to diverse client projects and teams
  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology
  • Collaboration with data science and product development teams
  • Career growth and learning opportunities
  • Team mentorship and knowledge-sharing culture

Likely interview questions

  • Describe your experience building production automation tools in C#/.NET—what was the most complex workflow you've implemented?
  • Walk us through a time you developed or refined a classification ML model. How did you evaluate and improve its accuracy?
