Platform Engineer
About this role
Brellium is seeking a founding Platform Engineer to design and scale infrastructure supporting AI-powered clinical note audits processing millions of criteria and billions of tokens daily. You'll build reliable, observable infrastructure patterns, improve developer productivity, and establish platform practices as the first dedicated engineer in this role, reporting to the VP of Engineering.
What you'll do
- Manage and scale AWS infrastructure running clinical audit pipelines across millions of criteria daily
- Design infrastructure patterns to improve latency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of auditing systems
- Build CI/CD pipelines and local/testing environments to enhance developer productivity
- Establish observability practices and drive reliability metrics across services including LLM pipelines
- Steward security compliance including SOC 2, HIPAA, identity management, and access controls
- Manage infrastructure and tooling spend while optimizing cloud costs
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of platform/infrastructure engineering as primary focus
- Production infrastructure experience at early-stage startups
- AWS and infrastructure-as-code expertise
- Production-level Python and TypeScript development
- Cloud cost optimization and management
- SOC 2 and software compliance audit experience
- LLM infrastructure and inference cost management (nice to have)
- Identity provider implementation like Okta (nice to have)
