About this role
A mechanical engineer will evaluate in-service industrial equipment and piping systems to identify failure causes and develop repair solutions. The role combines field assessments with technical calculations and design work to support process-industry facilities.
What you'll do
- Conduct field and technical evaluations of equipment and piping systems to perform root cause failure analysis
- Perform engineering calculations, develop repair drawings, and create replacement recommendations with specifications
- Interface with clients and construction teams, attend meetings, and prepare written technical reports
- Provide on-site technical support during field execution of repairs or replacements
- Develop scope of work packages for construction based on assessment findings
- Meet client-specific site requirements including safety protocols and physical demands

- AutoCAD design and drafting
