Software Engineer (Agent Platform)

About this role

Join Browserbase's Agent Platform team to build AI-powered browser automation developer tools used by millions. You'll design APIs, collaborate with frontier AI labs, and shape the future of web automation in a fast-growing startup.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the Agent Platform framework, an open-source developer tool with 2M+ monthly downloads
• Design and implement browser automation APIs that integrate AI capabilities
• Collaborate with OpenAI, Google, and other AI labs to improve model integration and accessibility
• Deploy production AI solutions impacting millions of customers
• Define, scope, and prioritize technical projects for the platform
• Document code and share knowledge across the engineering team

What they're looking for

• TypeScript (primary); Python or Go experience valued
• Developer tools, frameworks, or library development
• AI agents, LLMs, distributed systems, or reinforcement learning
• Web automation frameworks (Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium)
• Chrome DevTools Protocol (CDP) experience preferred
• Open source contributions or public projects
• High agency and independent project ownership
• Clear written and verbal communication
