Software Engineer, Infrastructure - Self Managed Experience (SMX)
About this role
Camunda seeks a Software Engineer to build and maintain self-managed deployment artifacts (Helm Charts, Docker Compose, C8Run) for their enterprise orchestration platform. You'll collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand real deployment challenges, improve the full lifecycle experience from installation through day-2 operations, and help shape engineering priorities based on direct customer signal.
What you'll do
- Build, maintain, and release Helm Charts, C8Run, and Docker Compose distribution artifacts with documentation
- Improve deployment reliability and usability across installation, upgrades, and day-2 operations
- Engage with Support, Consulting, and Presales teams to translate customer problems into prioritized work
- Participate in on-call medic rotation and resolve engineering-level support cases
- Contribute to shared CI/CD tooling, testing infrastructure, and deployment automation
- Collaborate with Development, Product, QA, and Documentation teams on integrated releases
