About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer for AI Data Engineering to build scalable data pipelines and analysis tools that transform flight, test, and factory telemetry into actionable insights for aerospace engineers. You'll develop user-facing HPC applications and automated reporting systems that enable rapid vehicle analysis across Falcon, Dragon, Starship, and Raptor programs without requiring deep infrastructure expertise.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines processing vehicle telemetry and test data
- Build user-facing analysis applications enabling engineers to submit, debug, and share work without tickets or SSH access
- Collaborate with HPC systems engineers to align job scheduling, storage, and observability with analyst workflows
- Prototype and productionize solutions including notebooks, APIs, computer vision, and inspection tools
- Own software delivery end-to-end: design, testing, deployment, and production operations within SLA requirements
- Partner with domain experts in avionics, propulsion, structures, and launch operations to translate requirements into durable systems
