Software Engineer, Android

About this role

Cape, a privacy-focused mobile carrier, seeks an Android Software Engineer to build their flagship app that protects user privacy across the communications stack. You'll own the full product lifecycle using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, implementing security and cryptography features while launching on major and alternative app stores.

What you'll do

• Own the complete mobile app lifecycle from design through Google Play Store and privacy-focused app store launches
• Implement security and cryptographic features to protect PII, account data, voice, and SMS traffic
• Establish and maintain high coding standards through guidelines, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Ensure application security, performance, and stability through testing, monitoring, and release processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user workflows and maintain cohesive user experience
• Work independently on technical decisions while considering user impact and design tradeoffs
