About this role
Captivation Software seeks a senior software engineer to design and maintain a distributed metrics and monitoring solution for HPC systems. The role requires deep expertise in Splunk, Linux/shell scripting, Python, Kafka, and infrastructure automation, with a current Top Secret/SCI clearance mandatory.
What you'll do
- Design and develop distributed metrics and monitoring solutions for HPC infrastructure
- Build and maintain Splunk configurations including dashboards, reports, and alerting workflows
- Develop automation scripts in Shell, Perl, and Python to streamline operational processes
- Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible and manage CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate log management and message broker technologies into monitoring architecture
- Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC monitoring systems
