Software Development Engineer II, Search Platform

About this role

CarGurus seeks a Software Development Engineer II to join the Search Platform team in Boston, building and optimizing search infrastructure for the automotive marketplace. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy production-ready code while supporting millions of users globally.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and engineers on technical design and implementation
• Develop and deploy clean, well-tested, efficient production-ready code
• Improve search and data access experience and performance for millions of users
• Participate in whiteboard sessions and design conversations to solve engineering challenges
• Test new insights through rapid experiments and iterate daily deployments
• Provide reliable production support for mission-critical applications and handle high-priority incidents
