About this role

CesiumAstro is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer I to develop embedded Linux systems and device drivers for satellite and airborne communication platforms. You'll work on configuring Yocto-based build systems, kernel customization, and bootloader integration while collaborating with hardware and FPGA teams on cutting-edge phased array antenna products.

What you'll do

  • Develop and port embedded Linux applications, device drivers, and libraries
  • Configure, customize, and integrate Linux kernels and bootloaders like U-Boot
  • Maintain and evolve Yocto-based build systems within CI/CD pipelines
  • Package and deploy software images for diverse embedded hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers on system integration
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation
