About this role

Shield AI seeks a PCB Designer to create layouts for complex defense-tech aircraft systems, working across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to translate designs into manufacturable products. You'll handle the full PCBA design lifecycle from stackup planning through manufacturing documentation for digital, analog, RF, and power electronics.

What you'll do

  • Design PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics
  • Plan and manage PCB stackups in collaboration with fabrication vendors and manufacturing
  • Partner with electrical engineers to interpret schematics and routing requirements
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on board form factor, connectors, and placement constraints
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with standards
  • Generate manufacturing documentation including Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication notes, and drawings
