About this role
CesiumAstro seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to oversee electronic assembly production for satellites and aerospace platforms, balancing technical process optimization with supplier management and documentation across internal and contract manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Optimize manufacturing processes for high-reliability satellite electronic assemblies, including solder chemistry selection and process parameters
- Conduct root cause analysis and defect investigations to address non-compliances and quality issues
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers on fabrication and assembly of space-qualified products
- Manage supplier reviews, qualification, and performance evaluation
- Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Partner with engineering and program management teams to industrialize products for production scale
