Mechanical Engineer I
About this role
CesiumAstro seeks a Mechanical Engineer I to support the design and development of satellite and aerospace communication systems. You'll contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept through in-orbit support—using CAD, simulation, and analysis tools to create innovative hardware solutions.
What you'll do
- Support mechanical design of satellite and aerospace products across all development phases
- Conduct thermal management, FEA, shock/vibration, and EMI/EMC analyses
- Create and iterate CAD models for electronics packaging and spacecraft interfaces
- Perform environmental qualification testing and analyze results
- Prepare and present engineering design review materials
- Support manufacturing, testing, and in-orbit product support activities
