About this role
CesiumAstro seeks a Wire Harness Design Engineer II to design critical power, digital, analog, and RF interconnects for satellite and aerospace systems. You'll own the complete harness design lifecycle—from specifications through integration—collaborating closely with electrical and mechanical engineers in a dynamic startup environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop wire harness schematics, cable routing, and connector selections for space and airborne platforms
- Create harness assembly drawings and technical documentation for manufacturing and integration
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and assembly teams to ensure design feasibility and performance
- Conduct and participate in design reviews, providing technical recommendations for reliability and optimization
- Support integration and test phases, troubleshooting harness-related issues
- Own the full design process from initial specifications through final validation
