About this role
Chainguard seeks a Software Engineer to build and operate customer-facing repository infrastructure, including package registries and APIs that securely serve artifacts at scale. You'll develop Go-based backend services, improve system reliability and performance, and help establish a unified repository platform for multiple artifact types.
What you'll do
- Build and improve customer-facing registries, APIs, and artifact-serving systems
- Develop and operate backend services in Go serving Libraries and preparing for containers, APKs, and other artifact types
- Implement well-scoped projects from technical design through testing, rollout, and monitoring
- Contribute to scalability, reliability, observability, and performance work for production systems
- Participate in design discussions and make decisions about service boundaries and operational patterns
- Investigate and resolve production issues while collaborating with engineers across the company
