Software Engineer, Infrastructure

About this role

Join Chime's Data Infra team as a Software Engineer to build and operate foundational infrastructure supporting data workflows at scale. You'll work across deployment platforms (Airflow, Flink) and managed databases (DynamoDB, RDS), writing infrastructure-as-code and managing Kubernetes environments in a high-impact generalist role.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain deployment infrastructure for data engineering workflows including Airflow, Flink, and chalk.ai
• Own and operate DynamoDB and RDS database infrastructure serving multiple teams
• Write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and manage production Kubernetes workloads
• Partner with Data Engineering to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions
• Drive reliability improvements through observability, capacity planning, and operational best practices
• Lead infrastructure changes from design through implementation and deployment
