About this role

Join an early-stage AI startup as an Agent Engineer to build an autonomous executive assistant. You'll design and implement reliable agent systems that integrate with business software, working across the full stack from Python backend to React frontend while translating frontier LLM capabilities into production-ready features users can trust.

What you'll do

  • Research and prototype advances in agent reasoning, planning, memory, and tool use to identify new product capabilities
  • Build and maintain a custom Python agent harness with execution loops, orchestration, error recovery, and structured outputs
  • Design integrations across email, calendars, CRMs, messaging, and business software platforms
  • Own end-to-end capability development spanning Python agent, Django services, React UI, data models, and production operations
  • Optimize latency, cost, reliability, and safety for high-volume agent execution in production
  • Analyze production traces and user feedback to identify trust issues and drive engineering improvements
