About this role

Join an early-stage healthtech startup as a Forward Deployed Engineer, building AI-powered integrations that streamline payer compliance for surgical practices. You'll own the full lifecycle of integrations with provider and insurance systems, working closely with founders and clients to translate healthcare workflows into reliable technical solutions.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, web scrapers, and RPA tools
  • Participate in client discovery sessions to map workflows and convert them into technical requirements
  • Ship custom integrations rapidly and iterate based on direct client feedback
  • Contribute to core product development when integration work is not the primary bottleneck
  • Develop expertise in the US healthcare provider and payer landscape
  • Attend in-person team and client meetings with occasional travel

What they're looking for

  • Full-stack engineering (2-5 years production experience)
  • Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend frameworks)
  • React with TypeScript (or equivalent frontend frameworks)
  • Third-party API integration
  • AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
  • Web scraping and RPA development
  • Technical communication with non-technical stakeholders
  • AWS or GCP infrastructure
