About this role

Join a seed-stage conversational AI startup as the first customer engineer hire, owning all customer relationships while building the customer success playbook from scratch. You'll coach AI sales agents, manage end-to-end customer lifecycles, and directly influence product development alongside the founding team.

What you'll do

  • Manage all customer relationships from onboarding through expansion and retention
  • Train and optimize AI sales agents on product messaging, buyer personas, and pricing strategies
  • Analyze customer conversation logs and support data to identify trends and product gaps
  • Build automation workflows and internal tools using scripting, APIs, and low-code platforms to scale operations
  • Lead product demos and onboarding sessions with a consultative, client-focused approach
  • Collaborate with the CTO to translate customer insights into prioritized product features
