Founding Frontend Engineer
About this role
Join an early-stage AI talent acquisition startup as their first founding frontend engineer, building a consumer-facing product that uses AI to connect candidates with opportunities. You'll own the full frontend architecture, work directly with design and product, and help establish engineering practices from the ground up.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end frontend architecture and development of the core consumer product
- Translate Figma designs into polished, performant UI experiences in close collaboration with design and product
- Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining high code quality
- Establish frontend best practices, tooling, and processes as a founding team member
- Contribute to product decisions that shape what the team builds and prioritizes
- Work in an iterative, fast-paced environment directly impacting user experience
What they're looking for
- Frontend development (3–5 years)
- B2C/consumer product experience (2+ years)
- Figma design-to-code workflow
- AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
- Modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
- UI/UX implementation and performance optimization
- Product thinking and collaboration
- Early-stage startup experience (nice to have)
