About this role
Join an early-stage construction-tech startup as a Founding AI Engineer to build computer vision and LLM systems that extract actionable insights from construction documents. You'll own the core intelligence layer—from modeling and data pipelines to production deployment—working directly with product and users to solve high-impact problems in construction automation.
What you'll do
- Apply computer vision, LLM, and multimodal AI techniques to process construction documents like blueprints and permits
- Own the end-to-end intelligence layer including model development, data pipelines, and inference systems
- Rapidly prototype and iterate AI models based on user feedback and production data
- Build and deploy production systems that handle noisy, heterogeneous construction document inputs
- Collaborate with product and end users to identify and solve high-impact problems
- Contribute to data labeling, ETL pipelines, and deployment tasks across a lean team
