About this role

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS pricing intelligence startup as a founding AI engineer. You'll design eval systems, build LLM infrastructure across multiple providers, and develop AI personas to power a revenue-critical pricing platform in San Francisco.

What you'll do

  • Design and build evaluation harnesses and benchmarks using real pricing outcomes as ground truth
  • Develop AI personas that simulate B2B buying committees using usage data and call transcripts
  • Own LLM routing across providers (Anthropic, Google, etc.) with explicit cost, latency, and quality tradeoffs
  • Extend MCP servers to enable agent-driven features for customer-facing agents
  • Build structured data models using typed ontologies (e.g., Pydantic) to ensure auditable model outputs
  • Maintain infrastructure and data residency boundaries for SOC2/GDPR compliance
