About this role
Mach Industries seeks a Software Engineer to develop mission-autonomy software for autonomous aerial defense platforms. You'll design decision-making and task-execution systems that translate mission objectives into reliable autonomous behavior, working across flight controls, perception, and ground systems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement mission-planning, task-sequencing, and behavior-orchestration software in C++
- Develop decision-making and contingency-management systems for vehicle health, sensor failures, and communications loss
- Create Python tooling for simulation, test automation, and mission evaluation
- Integrate mission software with flight controls, perception, payloads, communications, and ground-control systems
- Build and analyze simulation scenarios, hardware-in-the-loop tests, and mission replays
- Support multi-vehicle coordination and collaborative mission behaviors where applicable
