About this role

Join a seed-stage AI pricing SaaS startup as the founding design engineer, owning the entire frontend design system and component library from day one. You'll establish design patterns, enforce consistency across human and AI-generated code, and serve as the sole frontend UX authority as the team scales.

What you'll do

  • Define and maintain design token system, component library, and Tailwind conventions across the product suite
  • Build and own a production shadcn/ui-based component library that scales with team growth
  • Enforce WCAG accessibility standards and translate brand guidelines into code
  • Establish patterns for React Query, React Hook Form, and Zod to ensure consistent agent-generated pull requests
  • Audit and own frontend tooling including Biome configuration, Playwright E2E coverage, and performance
  • Design and ship conversational and streaming AI interface patterns for B2B users
