Founding Design Engineer at a seed-stage AI startup building pricing and deal intelligence tools. You'll own the design system, component library, and frontend standards as the sole UX authority, balancing speed with coherence while integrating AI coding agents into the workflow.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain a production design system including tokens, component library, and documentation
  • Define and enforce frontend standards for accessibility, brand consistency, code quality, and performance
  • Build reusable React components using TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and primitive libraries (shadcn/ui, Radix UI)
  • Shape conversational and AI-driven interface patterns for B2B users, including streaming responses
  • Integrate AI coding tools into frontend workflows and maintain quality as agent-generated code scales
  • Audit and improve frontend tooling, performance, and accessibility across the product
