About this role

Founding engineering role at an early-stage AI startup building systems that integrate AI agents with CAD and engineering tools for defense and medical customers. You'll own the full technical stack from architecture to production, ship workflows into live customer programs, and mentor the engineering team.

What you'll do

  • Design and build core architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools while meeting defense/medical security requirements
  • Own end-to-end delivery including design, reliability, observability, testing suites, and on-call operations
  • Ship production AI workflows into live customer programs and iterate based on real-world usage
  • Build evaluation and training loops using simulation data, test results, and field outcomes to improve system performance
  • Travel to partner engineering sites to identify system failures and translate learnings into platform capabilities
  • Expand platform across multiple companies while building and mentoring a small engineering team
