About this role

Join an early-stage consumer AI startup as a founding engineer to build real-time, human-like AI interaction systems. You'll work directly with the founder on full-stack development across frontend, backend, and AI integration, shaping both the product and engineering culture from the ground up.

What you'll do

  • Build full-stack features spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure in collaboration with founder and team
  • Design and implement memory, retrieval, and proactivity systems to enhance AI responsiveness and presence
  • Integrate real-time video generation and audio synthesis models into the product
  • Establish engineering quality standards and help recruit exceptional engineers as the team grows
  • Extensively test and dogfood the product to ensure exceptional user experience
  • Contribute to technical architecture decisions and product direction
