About this role
Founding engineer role at an early-stage startup building AI-assisted PCB design and EDA automation tools. You'll own core product development across the full hardware-to-production lifecycle, working directly with founders to shape technical strategy and ship features that accelerate electronics teams.
What you'll do
- Build and ship AI-assisted PCB design tools and EDA automation features to users
- Integrate manufacturing pipelines and manage end-to-end hardware production workflows
- Own full-stack problems spanning backend systems and user-facing tooling
- Collaborate with founding team to define product direction and technical strategy
- Ship quickly, iterate on user feedback, and resolve engineering blockers
What they're looking for
- PCB design, schematic review, or KiCad experience
- Systems/low-level programming (C, C++, Rust, or Go)
- Full-stack software engineering with strong fundamentals in algorithms and systems design
- Embedded systems or firmware development
- EDA tools or manufacturing pipeline experience
- AI/machine learning integration into tools or design automation
- Hardware supply chain knowledge
