About this role

Join a well-funded healthtech startup as a founding engineer to architect and build chat and real-time communication features. You'll have high autonomy and direct influence on core product systems while working with a small founding team in a fully remote role.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement production chat and real-time messaging systems
  • Collaborate with founding stakeholders to define technical strategy and product direction
  • Build scalable, reliable backend services with rapid iteration based on user feedback
  • Lead architecture and design decisions balancing speed-to-market with maintainability
  • Own full-stack components including implementation, testing, monitoring, and observability
  • Contribute to system reliability and performance optimization across real-time infrastructure
