Founding Engineer
About this role
Join a seed-stage startup as the first engineering hire to build an agentic integration platform for enterprise customers. You'll own core systems end-to-end, establish engineering standards for future team members, and ship production-ready software alongside the founders in a high-ownership role.
What you'll do
- Own and build core systems end-to-end including agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime
- Define engineering patterns and standards that future hires will follow
- Collaborate directly with founders on technical decisions and product direction
- Ship production systems that are reliable, observable, and well-instrumented
- Implement end-to-end features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Establish observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing practices
What they're looking for
- TypeScript and React for frontend development
- Node.js for backend development
- AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment
- PostgreSQL database design and optimization
- LLM integration and agent-based platform experience
- Distributed systems, retry logic, and queuing patterns
- Production observability and monitoring implementation
- Full-stack feature ownership with customer impact focus
