About this role
Join an early-stage startup as a founding engineer to build AI-assisted PCB design tools and EDA automation. You'll own full-stack development from day one, shaping product strategy while shipping features that directly impact how circuit boards move from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy AI-assisted PCB design and EDA automation features for end users
- Integrate manufacturing pipelines and manage hardware-to-production workflows
- Own full-stack technical problems across backend systems and user-facing tooling
- Define product direction and technical strategy alongside the founding team
- Ship rapidly, gather customer feedback, and unblock critical issues
- Collaborate on core platform architecture and design decisions
What they're looking for
- 3+ years shipping production software with at least one hardware product launched
- PCB design, schematic review, KiCad, or hands-on electronics experience
- Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, or Go
- Strong software fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, systems design
- Embedded systems or firmware development
- EDA tools, manufacturing pipelines, or hardware supply chain familiarity
- AI/ML integration into design tooling or automation
- Active open-source contributions or personal hardware projects
