About this role
Y Combinator S25 AI startup seeks a Founding Engineer to build native iOS and macOS apps with a design-first philosophy. You'll own the entire frontend stack from scratch, working closely with founders on product strategy for an AI-powered personal assistant focused on communications and organization.
What you'll do
- Own frontend architecture, networking, and UI animations for native iOS and macOS applications
- Design and deliver pixel-perfect, accessible user interfaces using SwiftUI
- Conduct user research and translate feedback into product decisions
- Collaborate with design and backend teams to ship polished, cohesive experiences
- Contribute to product strategy and advocate for end-user needs
- Build performant, maintainable code aligned with design systems and MVVM patterns
