About this role

Join a Y Combinator-backed wearable startup as the founding iOS engineer, owning the companion app that delivers real-time emotional intelligence data to users. You'll build the full-stack iOS experience from scratch, integrating complex neuroscience outputs into intuitive consumer interfaces while shaping the company's technical foundation and culture.

What you'll do

  • Own the iOS app architecture, development, and consumer-grade delivery end-to-end
  • Integrate real-time emotional-state data (energy, mood, focus scores) from backend inference models into the app UI
  • Design and iterate on UX that makes complex neuroscience outputs intuitive and actionable for everyday users
  • Collaborate with research and hardware teams to shape the complete product experience
  • Establish technical foundations and engineering culture as an early founding hire
  • Handle full-stack work including mobile layer and backend/API integration
