About this role

A Y Combinator-backed wearable AI startup seeks a founding iOS engineer to build and own the companion mobile app that surfaces real-time emotional and cognitive insights from proprietary AI models. You'll be the primary builder of the consumer-facing experience, working autonomously on a distributed team with significant equity upside and a clear path to lead mobile engineering.

What you'll do

  • Own the iOS app architecture, development, and deployment end-to-end
  • Translate proprietary AI model outputs into intuitive, polished user interfaces
  • Integrate backend APIs for authentication, data synchronization, and data models
  • Set technical patterns and standards for the mobile codebase as a founding engineer
  • Ship consumer-grade features with attention to performance and design quality
  • Collaborate asynchronously across distributed teams in London and San Francisco
