About this role

A seed-stage legal AI startup seeks a Founding Product Engineer to build core product features combining AI agents with licensed attorneys for contract services. You'll work full-stack across the entire platform, directly partnering with attorneys and AI engineers to ship production-grade software in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.

What you'll do

  • Build and own full-stack product features from data models and backend systems to client and attorney-facing interfaces
  • Translate legal workflows and review playbooks into reliable, production-grade software in collaboration with attorneys and AI engineers
  • Make pragmatic architecture and tooling decisions balancing speed with long-term maintainability
  • Write maintainable code and take complete ownership of shipped features in production
  • Help define engineering culture, standards, and hiring practices as the team scales
  • Drive features to completion with a focus on customer experience
