About this role
Join an early-stage insurtech AI startup as a Founding Software Engineer to build voice AI and document automation agents that streamline claims processing for insurance companies. You'll work directly with customers in a forward-deployed capacity, owning critical infrastructure and product decisions while shipping production systems at scale.
What you'll do
- Design and build voice AI systems and document agent workflows for insurance claims automation
- Partner directly with customers to understand workflows and deliver friction-reducing solutions
- Ship production-grade TypeScript and Python code handling millions of claims
- Design APIs, data models, and integrations with claims management and external systems
- Contribute to core infrastructure decisions using AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL
- Help shape engineering culture, tech stack, and product roadmap as a founding team member
