About this role

Join a seed-stage Y Combinator-backed insurtech AI startup as a Founding Software Engineer to build agentic workflows and voice AI systems that automate claims processing for major insurance carriers. You'll work directly with customers in New York, designing production-grade platforms that handle millions of claims across multiple insurance sectors.

What you'll do

  • Build voice AI systems and document agent workflows processing millions of insurance claims
  • Partner directly with customers to understand workflows and deliver tailored solutions
  • Ship production-grade TypeScript and Python code operating on live claims data
  • Design APIs, data models, and integrations with claims management systems and external platforms
  • Contribute to foundational architectural decisions as an early engineering team member
  • Deploy and maintain systems on AWS with Docker and PostgreSQL in production
